Elton John AIDS Foundation

Founded in 1992 by Sir Elton John, the Elton John AIDS Foundation is one of the leading independent AIDS organizations in the world. The Foundation’s mission is simple - to be a powerful force in the end to the AIDS epidemic. We are committed to no more discrimination. No more HIV infections. No more AIDS deaths. No matter who or where you are.

As a grant-making organization, we create bespoke partnerships and announce opportunities for funding while carefully monitoring and evaluating the impact of all projects with our grantees.

Since our founding in 1992, the Elton John AIDS Foundation has funded over 3,000 projects in more than 90 countries. These programs have reached 100 million people with education, prevention services, treatment, testing and support.

“We will not leave anyone behind.”
Elton John, Founder

The Rocket Fund

The Elton John AIDS Foundation is thrilled to launch The Rocket Fund - our $125M campaign to redouble the fight against AIDS everywhere. Growing levels of stigmatization, marginalization, and poverty have led to high rates of HIV and low access to healthcare. We now have the chance to tackle these issues and change the future for millions of people around the world.

The Rocket Fund focuses on those who are among the most vulnerable to HIV and AIDS domestically and globally:

  • LGBTQ+ Population
  • Young People
  • People Who Use Drugs

Join us to end AIDS for all.
